Frishman boasts decades of experience as a coach and successful competitor on the “A” circuit in the hunters, jumpers and equitation arenas. Kristi has been mentored by some of the best professionals in the field including learning her fundamentals under the tutelage of Rob Gage winner of American Grand Prix Association Rider of the Year, West Coast Rider of the Year four times, a USA World Cup Team member three times and a USEF “R” judge. Other top mentors include Victor Hugo Vidal, Michael Patrick, Mary Morrison.
In turn, over the past two decades, Frishman has mentored up-and-coming riders to become successful grand prix riders and owners of their own successful training practices. Frishman knows what it takes to win without sacrificing a harmonious relationship with the horse.
Frishman’s background includes studies in Lugano, Switzerland followed by a degree in kinesiology (the scientific study of human movement) from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). As a kinesiologist, Kristi understands all aspects of the “physiology of motion” with an emphasis on biomechanics which helps her create precisely tailored training regimes and more effectively match rider and horse teams.
Kristi established Genuine Farms in 1997 to create a barn focused on biomechanically correct training programs tailored to meet the needs of each horse and rider. She continues to mentor riders of all ages to success in the show ring and in partnership with their horses.
